About the Book
We have compiled a book of 101 flies. Some of the flies are common, while others are creations of the tiers that have proven to be very effective. They have been used with great success in many lakes from the Okanagan / Kootenays to the Thompson and Cariboo in Britich Columbia.
Each fly includes a photo and materials list. Some flies also include special tying instructions.
The techniques described are used by the tiers in the book. There may be other methods used to fish the flies.
All proceeds from this book support the conservation and educational efforts of the Kalamalka Fly Fishers. This includes activities that promote and encourage the sport (and art) of fly fishing, and help those wishing to become more skillful and knowledgeable of the sport.
